Her doctoral project is situated in the fields of Sociology, Cultural and Collective Memory Studies and Political Science.  | Ansgar Nünning Ansgar Nünning is the Academic Director of the International Graduate Centre for the Study of Culture (GCSC) and Professor of English and American Literature and Cultural Studies in Giessen.  | Dorothea Sawon Dorothea Sawon is a PhD candidate at the International Graduate Centre for the Study of Culture and member of the International PhD Programme Literary and Cultural Studies (IPP) and the PhDnet. Her doctoral research project which is situated at the intersections of the environmental humanities, the study of culture and English studies investigates representations of the environment in contemporary English nonfiction writing.
