Young People’s Politics in the Gezi Protests

The Gezi protests, which took place from May–June 2013 in Turkey, started peacefully with the occupation of Gezi Park in Taksim by ecological activists aiming to prevent the cutting down of the park’s trees for the construction of a shopping mall and an artillery barrack.
